Policies for Listing on Search123

Our search results must be accurate and relevant.
The effectiveness of our search engine
as a marketplace of advertisers and consumers, and the integrity of our relationships with
quality partners that syndicate our results, depends on the quality and relevancy of our
search results.

Our general listing requirements are listed below. However, if you have any questions
about our policies, or would like assistance with preparing your listings, please contact
our Client Services team on clientservices.uk@search123.com or 020 8785 5840.

Here is a quick overview of general rules to follow with further details below:

•  Use clear language that explains succinctly what you mean.
•  Use proper punctuation
•  Do not repeat or add unwarranted punctuation or symbols.
•  Only one exclamation point per listing
•  Use of Standard Capitalisation
•  No Repetition
•  Use correct English Spelling
•  No offensive language
•  Special offers must have the exact offer described on landing page
•  Brand Names can only be used where landing page contains the stated brands products.

1. All keyword bids must be directly relevant to the listing. Each and every keyword that
an advertiser associates with a listing must be relevant to that listing. The keyword enables
the advertiser to target a listing to a user-initiated query. If the keyword is not directly
related to the listing, the search result is not relevant to the query and the user is untargeted.
Any resulting click on an advertiser listing is not likely to result in a sale to the advertiser
and the result set is compromised.

2. All site titles and descriptions must accurately reflect the products and services offered
on the site.
Targeting is achieved by picking the right keywords. Qualifying the user is
achieved by writing accurate and objective site titles and descriptions that reflect the content
of the site. All claims made in the site title and description (such as “free delivery”) must be
truthful. If site titles and descriptions are not accurate, any resulting click on an advertiser
listing is not likely to result in a sale to the advertiser and the result set is compromised.

3. Avoid unnecessary capitals, punctuation or expletives. Site listings, in order to serve the
purpose of qualifying a user, must reflect the content of the site and must be as objective as
possible. We require our advertisers to avoid unnecessary capitals, punctuation and expletives
such as “best.” We encourage our advertisers to simply describe their offering and always
include product features, including price and delivery terms.

4. All adult sites, or sites linking to adult material, must designate the applicable site listing as
containing "adult material" during the site listing process.
Our sign-up process requires our
advertisers to designate listings as including “adult material”.

5. Trade Marks and Brand names.
Although search123 does not condone Web or approve of sites
that infringe trademarks, it has no control over the content presented by the advertisers who list
their websites on our search engine. Search123 implicitly insist that advertisers bid on keywords
that are relevant to their website and if a trade mark or brand name is used as a keyword, the
landing page absolutely must contain that brands product or services. Any advertiser breaching
this condition will be banned from advertising with search123 with no second chances.

E.G: The keyword “BMW” may be used if the advert is for a url going to page containing BMW
products or services

6. The following types of websites are not permitted to list on Search123. There are no exceptions.

  a. Sites displaying or promoting child pornography, or the abuse of children, women or
animals, or linking to such sites;

b. Sites enticing or promoting hate or intolerance against any particular race,
nationality, religion or lifestyle, or linking to such sites;

c. Sites enticing or promoting violence or criminal activity, or linking to such sites;

d. Sites distributing or promoting any software cheats, or similar material, or linking to
such sites;

e. Sites distributing or promoting any viruses, trojan horses, worms, or similar material,
or linking to such sites;

f. Sites distributing unlicensed material or material infringing on the copyright,
trademark or other intellectual property rights of any third parties, or linking to such sites.
